Starting out in the first cycle, we purchased our first small property but I was worried that we’d made a mistake by buying in the wrong location.  Most of my peers told me I’d made a mistake and I was starting to believe them.  We didn’t buy anything else for a whole 12 months.

In the second cycle I checked our cash flow, looked at our capital gain and that got our confidence back.  We bought 7 more properties.

But then my Accountant told me it was a bad move, I should be buying shares not property.

My business mentors said the same thing, and were concerned about our debt levels.

The self doubt came back and again, we paused.

But by the third cycle, I’d realised it was time to get our minds into a higher gear if we wanted to get to cruise in the future.

I stopped listening to people who hadn’t done what I wanted to do.

I invested heavily in our self development, and property education…

And it was that investment that truly changed our lives!

Our portfolio grew from 8 to 75 properties – from $0 savings to a portfolio worth approx. $8,000,000 ,,, and all within 64 months

We’ve invested in boom times and bust times.  There’s never been a dull moment!

Property has given me the freedom to choose :

• to leave my corporate career before I was 46 years old,
• to travel to 29 different countries,
• to travel Australia,
• to buy Businesses
• to spend time with my family and friends
• to stay up late and get up late …NO ALARM clock required!
• to go out for a relaxing breakfast EVERY day
• … and to help other people through training, coaching and mentoring.

So, we all know that property has cycles.  But People have them too.
